PWC Hosts a Progressive Dinner

A progressive dinner (US), or safari supper (UK), is a dinner party with successive courses prepared and eaten at the residences of different hosts. Usually this involves the consumption of one course at each location.

On January 26, 2019 many members of the Palisades Women’s Club enjoyed a Progressive Dinner organized by our Social Chair, Annie Maier, and her Vice Chair, Nicole Sodrick.

Here are a few highlights of the evening.

Course 1 | Cocktails & Hors d’oevures
Hostess: Scoti Testa

Everyone gathered at the home of Scoti Testa and her husband for cocktails and hors d’oevures. The Testas served a yummy signature cocktail and provided a wonderful array of hors d’oeuvres.

The group then divided into two and met for entrees and dessert at the following.

Course 2 | Entree
Hostess: Jann Pollard

Jann Pollard hosted twelve members of the group in her beautiful home for Burgundy Beef, salad and wonderful wine.

Course 2 | Entree
Hostess: Angelia

The second group went to the home of Angelia for a Cuban meal.

Course 3 | Dessert
Hostess: Pam Puetz

A beautiful cheesecake was served.

Course 3 | Dessert
Hostess: Suzanne Henckels

Suzanne served a wonderful dessert to this group.

Course 4 | After Dinner Drinks
Hostess: Kathleen Juhl

The entire group reunited at the Juhls who hosted after dinner cocktails.  Kathleen and Janet Pawul shared this event and served chocolate martinis, expresso martinis, grass hoppers and limoncello.

The evening was a big success. Many thanks to all who participated and special thanks to those who hosted in their homes for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, entrées and desserts. There were many requests to do this again so perhaps it will need to be an annual thing.
