A holiday around the world with decorations from our own Palisades Women’s Club membership made our Holiday Party one to remember. Our Social planning leadership did a wonderful job making this a special and memorable evening. Asia, South America, Africa and Europe were themes for the four stations at the corners of the room. Delicious tastes of a variety of foods allowed us to try fare based on the region for that dish.
There was seating where people could sit for their meal and chat with each other. It was a wonderful time to share holiday plans, catch up, and meet new members that have joined us this year. Holiday cheer and the opportunity to have a drink from the bar allowed for a great party, with plenty of time for us to relax and enjoy each other.
Later in the evening we enjoyed a a “sing along” with the Caroling Auxiliary Group. They have been using their talents to sing at some senior centers during the holidays. They were outstanding as the key vocal leads, but also provided the words to the holiday songs so everyone could join in and be part of the entertainment.
