The Village is a new residential transitional living program for young adults, ages 18-21, who are transitioning out of foster care into adulthood.Young adults who previously would have aged out of foster care can continue to get support if they pursue their educational or career goals. They must be finishing high school or completing a G.E.D, enrolled in post-secondary education, working at least 80 hours per month or participating in programs to remove barriers from employment.
The organization was started by a Bronx public school teacher who wanted his students to read Little House on the Prairie but the school did not have the funds to purchases the books. He had the idea to post his request and see if some of his friends would help funds the project. Today, classroom teachers all over the nation post ideas for projects they want to complete in their classrooms. Individuals have the opportunity to help a classroom teacher and the students by helping to fund the project.
Located in Belmont, NC, Holy Angels provides specialized round the clock care for children and adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and delicate medical conditions. They strive to empower those who are differently able.

The Relatives mission is to keep kids safe, families together, and prepares youth and young adults to be healthy, productive, engaged members of the community. They provide a system of resources that help the children and youth to find shelter and support. The continuum of services keeps kids safe and families together.

Journey Place is a specialized program for young adult males 18-21 who are aging out of foster care and need assistance making the transition from foster care to being an independent adult.
