Several of our members tried their bowling skills to participate in the 21st Annual Angel Bowl. There were two teams of five ladies each. Member, Debbie Ellison put this together and it was for the Holy Angels place where her son was. Holy Angels is a private, nonprofit corporation, founded in 1956 by the Sisters of Mercy in Belmont, NC, dedicated to providing a home of unconditional love and unlimited possibilities for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
‘Sip and Paint’ returned with a full house of 25 artists. Painting was done in watercolor with a choice of two subjects, instructed by our member and professional artist, Jann Pollard with artist, Anne-Marie Steele assisting. The photos tell the story and just look at those paintings! Photos submitted by Nicky Engel and Charlotte Lodge.
Many members enjoyed a wonderful meal and learned how to make it, including all of the recipes. Thank you to Beth Barry and Bonnie Herman for arranging this great event. Menu included: Butternut Squash Bisque, Salmon with three sauces, and Creme Broulee. Now, we get to try it ourselves.
