Why become a member of the Palisades Women’s Club?

The Palisades Women’s Club provides a variety of social and service opportunities.

Volunteering in service activities allows members to make a difference by helping charitable organizations in our community. During the last few years, the club has been involved with a variety of charities including the following:

  • The Sandbox
  • On Eagles Wings Ministries
  • Charlotte Urban Ministry
  • Loaves & Fishes
  • Holy Angels
  • Bright Blessings

The ladies in the Palisades Women’s Club enjoy socializing and making new friends. Throughout the year, there are a variety of social events for members. Occasionally, there are outings to enjoy with spouses or guests. Events enjoued in the last few years have included:

  • Cooking Classes

Who is eligible for Membership?

A prospective member can join the Palisades Women’s Club if she resides in the Palisades or is a member of the Palisades Country Club or Sports Complex. Potential members may attend up to two meetings, one of which may be a social event held at the Club, before joining.

What does a membership cost?

Annual Membership Dues are $35. Dues support our operating expenses (i.e., website, signs, nametags and meeting activities) as well as contributions to the charitable organizations we support. Dues do NOT include the cost of food and drink at meetings or events. Check the This Month website page for menu updates and costs.

About your initial membership dues and renewal timing.

Renewal of annual dues is expected to be paid the first month the PWC reconvenes after the summer break.
If you join the PWC say in February, you pay your first dues ($35) that will cover your membership until the annual renewal month of September.
If you sign up after February 28, your first dues will only cost $15.

RSVP Membership Meeting Protocol

An RSVP is required for all general meetings and special events. To RSVP, there are two options:

  • Use the THIS MONTH MEETING REGISTRATION button on the website home page. Clicking the button will take you to the general meeting information page where you can register directly.

IMPORTANT:  Upon reciept of your RSVP, Cindy Saundry will reply confirming she has received your meal reservation.  YOUR RSVP IS CONFIRMED WHEN YOU RECEIVE CINDY”S REPLY AND ARE ASSURED YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

Cancellations MUST be made at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to avoid being charged for your meal.  

General Meeting Details

General meetings are normally held the first Wednesday of each month, Sept. through May.  Meeting times alternate between lunch and dinner and are held at the Palisades Country Club.  There is a NO JEANS dress code associated with our general meetings.

How do I sign-up to become a member?

Attend a monthly general meeting and sign-up at the membership table. You must have made a reservation to attend, even if your are not yet registered as a member (email cindys@thepalisadescc.com). You will be asked to complete a Membership Form and to pay your $35 annual dues. Dues may be paid in cash, check (written to Palisades Women’s Club) or credit card ($1 processing fee). You will also need to pay for your meal as part of your check in for the meeting/event.

How do I pay for my meeting or event meal?

If you are a Palisades Country Club member, your meal expenses will be charged to your Country Club Account. For non-Country Club members, there will be a specific table in the meeting room where your payment will be recieved (credit card only/no cash). Please pay for your meal upon arrival at the meeting.

Is there bar services associated with meetings and events?

Yes. There is a 30-45 minute cocktail hour before meetings and events. Alcoholic beverages are NOT included with your meal. The bar requires credit/debit card payments for wine and cocktails.
